This is the most frequently asked question that I get.  Essentially, the domain name orginated while I was registering many domain names ten years ago.  It sounded good, and it was short, so I purchased it.  The basis of choosing this domain name was not due to any sort of religious beliefs or because I enjoyed professional wrestling (and to an extent, still do, although I prefer watching Mixed Martial Arts).

The genesis of the domain is that it is my personal webspace.  It is my little bucket of sand that I have polished into glass in the desert that is the Internet.  I could use Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, or any number of social networking sites, but having a genuine domain name appeals me as opposed to being one of the many number of raindrops conforming under a rather large umbrella.  I have the motivation and the expertise, so why not use it?  I also enjoy writing, and perhaps one of these fine days I will write a book.  But for now…I will write about myself and the world as I see it, here at 316.com.

I have had numerous offers to purchase this domain over the years, with most e-mails asking me to provide a price.  Some people have asked me to donate it to their church, others have asked to trade, but to date no offer has been enticing enough to accept.  This domain is not for sale at the moment, however everything is negotiable depending on the price offered.  Three letter (or number) domains are difficult to obtain, though I do not consider myself an unreasonable individual.  Feel free to make me an offer.  If I reply, then we will continue to negotiate from there.  If I do not reply, then I did not consider your offer to be worthy enough.
